Health information, gathered and made clear
When you or someone you love has a health question, the answers online are either too thin to be useful or too technical to be readable. You end up with ten tabs open and less confidence than when you started.
CollectedMed exists to close that gap. We collect what current medical sources say about a condition, a symptom, a medication or a habit, and we write it in language you can actually use — then we have it checked by someone qualified to catch what a writer might get wrong.
What we cover
Our library is organised around the questions people actually search for:
- Conditions — what it is, what causes it, how it’s diagnosed, what treatment usually involves
- Symptoms — what a symptom can point to, and the signs that mean you should see a doctor now rather than later
- Medications and treatments — how they work, what to expect, common side effects and interactions
- Nutrition and everyday wellness — food, sleep, movement and the habits that shape long-term health
- Mental health — evidence-based, stigma-free, and written by people who take it seriously
How we work
We start with the evidence. Every article begins with published medical literature, clinical guidelines and public health sources. We cite what we rely on so you can follow the trail yourself.
A qualified reviewer checks it. Articles covering diagnosis, treatment, medication or risk are reviewed by a clinician working in that area before publication. The reviewer’s name and credentials appear on the page.
We write in plain English. Medical terms appear where they matter, and we explain them the first time they show up.
We update when guidance changes. Medicine moves. An article that was accurate in 2024 may not be in 2026, and we revisit our content on a schedule rather than leaving it to age quietly.
We are honest about limits. Our articles say what is well established, where evidence is thin, and when a question genuinely needs a clinician who knows your history.
What we will not do
We do not diagnose. We do not sell treatments. We do not overstate what a supplement or product can do for your health, and we do not let advertising or affiliate relationships decide what our articles say. If the honest answer is “you don’t need to buy anything,” that is what the article says.

Lindsay Ewan, MD, MPH
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Ewan holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida, and a BA in Biology from Williams College. She oversees medical review standards across CollectedMed and sets the editorial policy that governs how clinical content is sourced, reviewed and updated.
