Lindsay Ewan, MD, MPH

Lindsay Ewan, MD, MPH Chief Medical Officer Dr. Lindsay Ewan holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Williams College. As Chief Medical Officer she is responsible for the standards that govern clinical content at CollectedMed: which articles require medical review, who is qualified to review them, what counts as an acceptable source, and how often published content is re-checked against current guidance. She sets those rules and she is accountable when they are not met. Her public health training shapes how she approaches that work. Clinical medicine asks what is wrong with this patient; public health asks what happens across a population when information is good or bad at scale. A health site read by hundreds of thousands of people is a public health intervention whether or not anyone intends it as one, and the errors that matter are rarely dramatic — they are small inaccuracies repeated at volume, or advice that is correct in general and wrong for the reader acting on it. Dr. Ewan reviews content across general medicine and public health, and has final say on our Editorial Policy, our tiered review system, and any content decision where accuracy and commercial interest pull in different directions.
